LYS have partnered with specialist geospatial engineering company 3DMSI, to digitally reconstruct the built vessel reality of areas requiring refit or update. The focus is to help inform and streamline the design process, as well as highlighting any potential issues prior to installation.

We can scan the whole of the boat or just one compartment depending on the scope of works.

3DMSI use a combination of high-definition reality capture measurement solutions to record and process vessel information. The captured existing vessel information is visually and algorithmically interrogated to highlight ‘clashes’ between the constructed reality and the design.

From this a full understanding of the potential and essential alterations required to mitigate problems during installation is developed. This system of spatial risk analysis and management ensures that design and installation programs stays on track and avoid unnecessary and costly delays.
